Goolawah Facts & Figures
- Spring 2000: Land purchased & Co-operative established.
- From 2001: building roads, dams, community kitchen & garden, playground.
- April 2013: Kempsey Shire Council gives development consent under SEPP 15 for a rural land sharing co-operative, allowing for 78 building sites to be developed.
- Oct 2015: Goolawah Co-op celebrates 15th birthday anniversary.

The Co-Op owns 1600 acres of land, with 78 shares and lots of 1.25 acres each. The 78 shares are held by 68 members (some members have more than one share) and the undeveloped land consists mainly of bushland, swamp and forest.
59 people (including eleven children) live permanently in Goolawah. Other members are in the process of developing their sites for occupation.
